I have designed a mat for the new 9-1 course that contains some of the key Christian biblical teachings and a few other sources of authority, to use when looking at Christian beliefs. I thought it would be helpful in students revision or as a reference point for the writing of the C and D questions.

Two lessons that follow the AQA 9-1 Spec that look at Christian and Muslim attitudes to sexuality. Lesson 2 has a deep focus on writing a perfect 4 mark answer with lots of marked exemplars and models for students to assess and then assess their own answer. Tasks supplement and support the new OXFORD textbooks

Tips and quick wins are on the PowerPoint Students can also look at/ practice and assess model 5 mark answers ( I recently did an AQA training course and based the answers on this) All models are worth 5 marks. I have tried to teach y11 to condense how much they write in a 5 mark question as many run out of time in the exam. There are opportunities for students to practice using Point-Evidence-Explain with suggested strategies for the long 12 mark answer
